1) 총평 (완독 소감 + 간단한 원서 리뷰 포함)
도로시 길먼 작가의 폴리팩스 부인 시리즈 마지막 권인 Mrs. Pollifax Unveiled를
오늘로 끝냈답니다. 처음 1권을 읽었을 때 등장했던 파렐이 계속 그리웠는데, 이
시리즈의 뒤에서 연달아 파렐이 등장해서 반가웠어요.^^ 시리아에서 납치되어
실종된 후 죽었다고 알려진 Amanda Pym을 찾아, 살아있다면 무사히 구출해내는
것을 목표로 폴리팩스 부인과 파렐이 시리아로 향합니다. 둘은 아만다의 먼 친척
아줌마와 아저씨 정도로 위장을 하고 갑니다. 도착하면서부터 현지 경찰들의 감시와
미행을 받습니다만, 둘은 모른척 관광을 하며 아만다에 관한 정보를 아는 정보원과
접촉을 합니다. 갑작스런 죽음과 생각지 못한 위험이 닥쳐옵니다만 무사히 임무를
완수하네요.
