1) 총평 (완독 소감 + 간단한 원서 리뷰 포함)

1943년 덴마크.. 나치의 점령하에 있던 시절의 이야기 입니다.

저자는 지인의 실제 경험과 역사적 사실에 가공의 인물을 더하여 이야기를 이끌어 갑니다.

주인공인 Annemarie는 10살 소녀로 참 의젓하게 친구를 위하고 동생을 위하고 주변의 부모님이나

다른 사람들을 배려하고 염려하고... 또 실제 행동으로 실행하는 역할로 나옵니다.

읽기 시작하면서

제 개인적으로는 당시의 상황에 대한 다른 의견들도 접한바가 있는지라 약간은 내용에 대한 선입견을 갖고 있었지만,,

읽는 동안 주인공 소녀의 생각과 행동.. 그리고 부모님의 역할과 가족. 가정이라는 점에서의 느낌이

차분하게 생각을 하게 만드는 것 같았습니다.

같은 저자의 책으로 이전에 the Giver를 읽었는데 미래사회를 소재로 하여 현실에서 발생할 수 있는 부조리와 불균형을 고발하였다고 한다면.. 이번 책은 과거의 사실에 바탕하여 사실은 사실대로 전하면서도 어린이들에게 무언가 바른 가치관을 심어주는 내용이 아닌가 하는 생각이 들었습니다.
