1) 총평 (완독 소감 + 간단한 원서 리뷰 포함)
모르는 단어도 많이 나오고, 문장구조도 길고 복잡한 책이지만, 재미있게 읽었습니다.
이제는 뜻을 몰라도 그냥 넘어가는 것이 좀 수월해진 듯 싶어요^^
살인마 잭에게 가족들이 살해당하는 동안, 요람에서 탈출하는 방법을 익힌 말썽꾸러기 아가는 집을 빠져나와 언덕위의 공동묘지로 갑니다.. 거기서 유령들을 만나 그곳에서의 삶을 살아가게 되지요..
벽도 통과하고, 투명해지는 방법도 배우고, 꿈속에 들어가는 법도 배우고, 글자를 배워 책을 읽을수도 있게 되요.
하지만 살인마 잭이 계속 아이를 찾고 있기 때문에, 학교에 다니다가 어쩔수 없이 그만둬야 하는 등... 인간으로서의 삶을 그리워 하지만, 그럴 수 없는 상황이 됩니다.
결국 유령들과 함께 살던 아이다운 방법으로 자신을 노리는 무리를 물리치고,
새로운 삶을 찾아가게 되는 이야기 입니다...
그쪽 문화권이 아니라서 작가의 위트를 이해하지를 못하는 부분도 있는 것 같아요.
이름들에도 뭔가 의미가 담겨 있는 것 같은데.. 잘은 모르겠고,
단어도 뭔가 살짝 비틀어 쓴 것 같은데... 모르겠고...
언젠가 다시 읽게 된다면, 좀 더 재밌게 읽을 수 있을 것 같아요^^
