할머니가 돌아가시자 실의에 빠져 삶의 모든 활력을 잃어버진 할아버지가 피터네 가족과 함께 살기로 한다. 할아버지에게 피터가 쓰던 방을 내드리고 어두컴컴한 다락방에서 지내게 된 피터는 할아버지가 쓰고 있는 자기방을 되찾기 위해 할아버지와 전쟁을 선포하게 된다.

삶의 의미를 잃어버진 할아버지를 다시 활력있게 만들어주는 손자  녀석! 대단하고 귀엽고 따뜻하고 힐링이 된다.
