Sitting Bull was a Lakota Indian.// 인디언 중에서 최고의 수장을 의미함.

인디언 보호구역에서 금이 발견되면서, 많은 광부들이 인디언 지역으로 들어오면서,

인디언과 미국인의 갈등은 더욱 심화되었다. 그리고 마침내 Sitting Bull 은 2년여 감옥생활을 한다.

그리고 다시 미국의 인디언 보호 지역으로 복귀하였다.

 

인디언 종족들의 씁쓸한 후퇴 / 그들과 미국인들의 관점의 차이로 인해서 

결국 인디언들은 인디언보호구역으로 이동하게 된다.//    Reservations

 

** 이 책은 2번째 읽은 것이지만, 읽기가 훨씬 부드러운 느낌이다.
