There were many neon signs of Korean corporations.
Then, we saw a long line of people.
"Why are people standing in the line over there?"
We went closer, and we could read "tkts."
What were they selling?
My brother said he had no idea as well.
He said that "tkts" was a new word for him, too.
Then, Dad came and said, "It is the ticket-selling place."
I got it!
"tkts" was the short form of "tickets."
But "tkts" was not the only example of this.
In New York, I saw many other short forms of Enlgish words.
It is more convenient to use the short forms.
