'Yellow caps? Oh, yellow hats!' I thought.
I looked for yellow hats on the street.
But it was strange.
There was almost no one with a yellow cap.
I said to Dad, "Dad I can't find any one in a yellow cap.
Then, Dad laughed loudly.
“Look, I didn't mean yellow caps.
I meant yellow cabs."
Mom also laughed and said, "The two words have similar pronunciations."
It's easy to get confused.”
Then, I understood.
People often call a taxi a cab.
Dad meant yellow cabs.
And, yes, there were many yellow cabs in New York.
Yellow cabs are one of the symbols of New York.
