39) I Survived the Destruction of Pompeii, AD79
[폼페이 최후의 날] 너무 유명한 베수비오 화산 폭발에 관한 소설입니다. 화산 폭발로 도시가 사라져 버린 폼페이 이야기입니다. 그런데 여기서 살아남는 11살 노예 타타의 이야기입니다. 타타의 아버지는 글레디에이터로 끌려가고 타타는 심부름을 하던 중 베수비오 화산의 심상치않은 모습을 목격하게 됩니다. 짧지만 한권한권 재미있네요. 짧은 시간동안 진행되는 이야기라서 등장인물이 복잡하지 않아서 더 쉽게 읽히는 것 같아요.
