미 서부 지역으로 이주하게 하기 위해서 5년동안 살 경우, 땅을 그냥 주는 시대가 있었다.

그  지역은 그야말로 개척을 해서 살아가야 하는 시대.

Laura Ingalls Wilder 는 그 중 한명의 여인으로, 여성이 개척을 하고 살아가는데에

결코 쉽지 않은 삶이었슴을 보여주었다.

여성은 강인하다.

At first , they could not afford a real house.

They said she had posisoned the children... 

Woman dealt with a lot of hardships on the trail.

The stories have entertained generations of young people.
