마침내 I Survived 시리즈 처음으로 여자 주인공이 나왔습니다. 그동안 왜 여자 주인공은 없을까 생각했었는데 책 끝에 보니 저자의 설명이 있네요.
11살 제시,에디 그리고 샘은 삼총사입니다. 화산폭발 8주 전 세인트헬렌 산속에 Skeleton Woman 이 산다는 소리를 듣고 숲으로 들어갑니다. 이 셋은 그 속에서 지진을 경험하게 됩니다. 그 지진이 세인트 헬렌 산의 화산폭발 징조로 보여지는데요. 그러나 몇주가 지나도록 연기만 내뿜자 사람들은 곧 무감각해지고, 안전 불감증이 되고 맙니다. 지진이 일어났을 때 돌아가신 아빠의 사진기를 산속 오두막에 두고온 제시는 다시....
